Albert graduated from Brooklyn Law School in New York, where he served as a Notes and Comments editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. He also earned the distinction of having an article (PDF file) published in the Journal.
After law school, Albert clerked for two federal magistrate judges in Federal District Court (Eastern District of New York). Albert also worked for a prominent criminal defense attorney in New York litigating complex criminal matters in federal and state courts.
Albert is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the National Lawyer’s Guild.
Albert is committed to advancing the cause of criminal and social justice, both inside and outside of the courtroom. He is an avid writer and has published numerous articles on issues ranging from the Supreme Court to the tragic shooting of Sean Bell in New York City (Counterpunch magazine website).
